The Venus Bulldogs basketball team (Venus, TX), was overwhelmed 64-19 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Godley Wildcats (Godley, TX)
The Wildcats now possess a 21-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hillsboro for a 4A Region II District 10 battle on Friday, January 20. Godley will confront a Eagles team coming off a 49-16 league win over Venus (Venus, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 16-8.
The Bulldogs (4-21) will now prepare for their battle against Kennedale (Kennedale, TX). The Wildcats come into the 4A Region II District 10 battle with a 13-10 record. In their last battle, Kennedale trounced Ferris (Ferris, TX), 59-39, in a league battle.
