Utah High School Basketball - Granger can't hold off Kearns

The Kearns Cougars basketball team scored 34 points and held the visiting Granger Lancers to 31 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cougars now sport a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West for a 6A Region 2 contest on Friday, January 20. Kearns will battle a Panthers team coming off a 67-38 league win over Roy (Roy, UT). The Panthers record now stands at 11-4.
The Lancers (2-12) will now prepare for their contest against Cyprus (Magna, UT). The Pirates enter the 6A Region 2 contest with a 3-11 record. In their last contest, Cyprus was nudged by Taylorsville (Taylorsville, UT), 74-71, in a league contest.
