The Tunstall Trojans basketball team (Dry Fork, VA), was overwhelmed 48-7 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA)
The Comets now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patrick County for a Piedmont battle on Friday, January 20. Halifax County will battle a Cougars team coming off a 56-43 non-league loss to Chatham (Chatham, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 8-8.
The Trojans (0-17) will now prepare for their battle against Bassett (Bassett, VA). The Bengals come into the Piedmont battle with a 6-9 record. In their last battle, Bassett trounced William Byrd (Vinton, VA), 50-40, in a non-league battle.
