The Texas Tigers basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the host Hallsville Bobcats to 36 in the Tigers league victory on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine Tree for a 5A Region II District 15 contest on Friday, January 20. Texas will battle a Pirates team coming off a 38-28 league loss to Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 9-15.

The Bobcats (5-20) will now prepare for their contest against Longview (Longview, TX). The Lobos come into the 5A Region II District 15 contest with a 19-7 record. In their last contest, Longview was defeated by Tyler (Tyler, TX), 56-38, in a league contest.
