The Thomaston Bears basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Housatonic-Wamogo Mountaineers to 26 in the Bears non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bears now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northwestern Regional for a Berkshire contest on Friday, January 20. Thomaston will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 40-25 league win over Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT). The Highlanders record now stands at 10-0.

The Mountaineers (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Shepaug Valley was routed by Gilbert (Winsted, CT), 40-15, in a league contest.
