Marion Wolves (Marion, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Independence Mustangs (Independence, IA), 81-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Marion upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Wolves travel to Beckman (Dyersville, IA) to play the Trailblazers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 19. The Trailblazers go into the bout with a record of 7-6. Beckman won 47-9 in their recent non-league bout against Camanche (Camanche, IA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Solon Spartans (Solon, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 13-1 record after their 56-50 league win over Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA).
