LaGrange Gators (Lake Charles, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Leesville Wampus Cats (Leesville, LA), 69-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, LaGrange upgrades its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Washington-Marion (Lake Charles, LA) to play the Charging Indians in a 4A District 3 bout on Friday, January 20. The Charging Indians come into the bout with a record of 5-9.

Next up, the Wampus Cats play the Many Tigers (Many, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. Leesville will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 41-23 league loss to Lakeview (Campti, LA).
