Lee Academy Cavaliers (Bishopville, SC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Marlboro Academy Dragons (Bennettsville, SC), 42-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lee Academy upgrades its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Conway Christian (Conway, SC) to play the Eagles in a SCISA AA Region III bout on Thursday, January 19. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 5-3.

Next up, the Dragons play the Conway Christian Eagles (Conway, SC) in a SCISA AA Region III bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Marlboro Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
