With the victory, Tyler improves its record to 21-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX) to play the Tigers in a 5A Region II District 15 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 26-0. Mt. Pleasant won 52-33 in their recent league challenge against Marshall (Marshall, TX)

Next up, the Lobos play the Hallsville Bobcats (Hallsville, TX) in a 5A Region II District 15 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Longview will attempt to improve on its 19-7 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 6-20 record after their 44-36 league loss to Texas (Texarkana, TX).
