Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL) and the visiting Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL), saw Massac County's basketball squad wallop Mt. Vernon by a tally of 69-38.
With the victory, Massac County improves its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Carbondale (Carbondale, IL) to confront the Terriers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Terriers come into the challenge with a record of 7-15. Carbondale lost 59-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL)
Next up, the Rams confront the Cahokia Comanches (Cahokia, IL) in a South Seven challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Mt. Vernon will attempt to improve on its 18-5 season record. The Comanches come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 59-12 non-league win over Madison (Madison, IL).
