Iowa High School Basketball - Melcher-Dallas can't hold off Mormon Trail

The Mormon Trail Saints basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Melcher-Dallas Saints to 53 in the Saints league triumph on Tuesday.
The Saints now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lamoni for a Bluegrass contest on Friday, January 20. Mormon Trail will battle a Demons team coming off a 43-15 league win over Moulton-Udell (Moulton, IA). The Demons record now stands at 6-6.
The Saints (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Moravia (Moravia, IA). The Mohawks enter the Bluegrass contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Moravia was nudged by Ankeny Christian Academy (Ankeny, IA), 49-31, in a league contest.
