The Valley Lutheran Chargers basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Millington Cardinals to 34 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Chargers now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Michigan Lutheran Seminary for a Tri-Valley - West II contest on Friday, January 20. Valley Lutheran will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 39-37 non-league win over Bullock Creek (Midland, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-3.

The Cardinals (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Standish-Sterling (Standish, MI). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Standish-Sterling ran past Gladwin (Gladwin, MI), 53-27, in a non-league contest.
