Waconia Wildcats (Waconia, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting New Prague Trojans (New Prague, MN), 70-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Waconia upgrades its record to 4-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Jefferson (Bloomington, MN) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 5-9. Jefferson lost 73-59 in their recent non-league bout against Benilde-St. Margaret's (St. Louis Park, MN)

Next up, the Trojans play the Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. New Prague will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 54-50 league loss to Chanhassen (Chanhassen, MN).
