North Carolina High School Basketball - Southeast Halifax holds off Northwest Halifax

January 17, 2023: Littleton, NC 27850

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC) and the host Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC), saw Southeast Halifax's basketball squad hold off Northwest Halifax by a tally of 49-46.

With the victory, Southeast Halifax improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Trojans host KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC) to confront the Pride in a 1A Conference 9 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Pride come into the challenge with a record of 0-9. KIPP Pride lost 80-70 in their recent league challenge against Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC)

Next up, the Vikings confront the Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) in a 1A Conference 9 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Northwest Halifax will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 10-0 record after their 69-25 league win over Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC).
