Texas High School Basketball - Pine Tree knocked off by Whitehouse

The Whitehouse Wildcats basketball team scored 38 points and held the host Pine Tree Pirates to 28 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 10-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marshall for a 5A Region II District 15 contest on Friday, January 20. Whitehouse will meet a Mavericks team coming off a 52-33 league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 9-15.
The Pirates (9-15) will now prepare for their contest against Texas (Texarkana, TX). The Tigers enter the 5A Region II District 15 contest with a 4-12 record. In their last contest, Texas ran past Hallsville (Hallsville, TX), 44-36, in a league contest.
