The Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Sprayberry Yellow Jackets (Marietta, GA), 55-40 in Tuesday's league test.
The Greyhounds (16-4) will now prepare for their test against Alpharetta (Alpharetta, GA). The Raiders go into the AAAAAA Region 7 test with a 0-14 record. In their last test, Alpharetta went down by Riverwood (Atlanta, GA), 54-27, in a non-league test.
The Yellow Jackets now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Roswell for a AAAAAA Region 7 test on Friday, January 20. Sprayberry will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 50-40 league loss to Lassiter (Marietta, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 7-11.
