The Waynesboro Little Giants basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Riverheads Gladiators to 45 in the Little Giants league triumph on Tuesday.

The Little Giants now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilson Memorial for a Shenandoah contest on Friday, January 20. Waynesboro will battle a Green Hornets team coming off a 43-37 non-league win over Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA). The Green Hornets record now stands at 10-4.

The Gladiators (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against William Campbell (Naruna, VA). The Generals enter the non-league contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, William Campbell was nudged by Nelson County (Lovingston, VA), 32-15, in a league contest.
