Craig County Rockets (New Castle, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA), 26-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Craig County upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Rockets host Bath County (Hot Springs, VA) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 0-8.

Next up, the Fighting Blues play the Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Parry McCluer will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Green Waves go into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 53-47 non-league win over Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA).
