Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA), 36-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Goochland upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Louisa County (Mineral, VA) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 4-6. Louisa County lost 32-29 in their recent non-league bout against Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 29-28 non-league win over Staunton (Staunton, VA).
