Combs Coyotes (San Tan Valley, AZ) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Coyotes confront the Eastmark Firebirds (Mesa, AZ) in a 4A East Sky challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Combs will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Firebirds enter the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 16-0 non-league win over Goldwater (Phoenix, AZ).

The Prospectors now have a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Coronado for a 4A Black Canyon challenge on Thursday, January 19. Apache Junction will confront a Dons team coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Saguaro (Scottsdale, AZ). The Dons record now stands at 1-6.
