In Tuesday's league battle, the visiting El Diamante Miners soccer squad scored a close 6-0 triumph over the Mt. Whitney Pioneers.
The Miners (7-7) will now prepare for their battle against Porterville (Porterville, CA). The Panthers come into the East Yosemite battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Porterville got by Golden West (Visalia, CA), 1-0, in a league match.
With the loss, Mt. Whitney drops to 6-9 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Monache (Porterville, CA) to encounter the Marauders in a East Yosemite match on Thursday, January 19. The Marauders come into the match with a record of 6-9. Monache lost 8-0 in their recent league match against Redwood (Visalia, CA)
