The Edgewood Academy Wildcats basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Autauga Academy Generals to 40 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Evangel Christian for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 19. Edgewood Academy will battle a Lightning team coming off a 44-16 league win over Tuscaloosa Home Educators (Northport, AL). The Lightning record now stands at 10-1.

The Generals (5-7) will now prepare for their bout against Hooper Academy (Hope Hull, AL). The Colts go into the bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Hooper Academy was edged by Autauga Academy (Prattville, AL), 50-41, in a league bout.
