Blacksburg Bruins (Blacksburg, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hidden Valley Titans (Roanoke, VA), 57-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Blacksburg upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Pulaski County (Dublin, VA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 19. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 12-3. Pulaski County won 56-52 in their recent non-league bout against Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA)

Next up, the Titans play the Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Hidden Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 53-50 non-league win over Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA).
