The Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) basketball crushed the host Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC), 51-19 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Redhawks (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, Union Academy was trounced by Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 53-36, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they travel to Parkwood for a non-league test on Friday, January 20. Central Academy will encounter a Wolf Pack squad coming off a 58-51 non-league loss to Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 3-8.
