North Carolina High School Basketball - Gaston Day tops Gaston Christian

Gaston Day Spartans (Gastonia, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Gaston Christian Eagles (Gastonia, NC), 55-42 in a league bout.
With the victory, Gaston Day upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Metrolina Christian Academy (Indian Trail, NC) to play the Warriors in a bout on Friday, January 20. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 4-10.
Next up, the Eagles confront the SouthLake Christian Academy (Huntersville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 20. Gaston Christian will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The come into the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 52-33 league loss to Northside Christian Academy (Charlotte, NC).
