In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Mitchell Mountaineers basketball team scored a decisive 58-17 triumph over the Madison Patriots.
In their next game, the Mountaineers meet the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a match, on Friday, January 20. Mitchell will attempt to move on its 10-3 season record.
With the defeat, Madison moves to 0-14 on the year. The Patriots travel to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC) to meet the Cougars in a non-league match on Friday, January 20. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 7-4. Mountain Heritage won 46-17 in their recent non-league match against Draughn (Valdese, NC)
