Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC), 51-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Newton-Conover upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Red Devils host West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 10-3. West Caldwell won 38-27 in their recent league bout against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Maiden will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record.
