Mesa Vista Trojans (Ojo Caliente, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting McCurdy Bobcats (Espanola, NM), 44-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mesa Vista upgrades its record to 2-5 on the season. The Trojans travel to Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM) to play the Lobos in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Lobos go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Escalante won 59-17 in their recent non-league bout against Questa (Questa, NM)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. McCurdy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 49-32 non-league loss to Mora (Mora, NM).
