The Rock Island Rocks basketball team scored 79 points and restricted the visiting Alleman Pioneers to 38 in the Rocks league victory on Wednesday.
The Rocks now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Galesburg for a Western Big 6 contest on Friday, January 19. Rock Island will battle a Silver Streaks team coming off a 79-44 league loss to Sterling (Sterling, IL). The Silver Streaks record now stands at 5-13.
The Pioneers (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against East Moline United (East Moline, IL). The Panthers come into the Western Big 6 contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, East Moline United was routed by Moline (Moline, IL), 59-54, in a league contest.
