Florida High School Basketball - Citrus can't hold off South Sumter

The South Sumter Raiders basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the host Citrus Hurricanes to 40 in the Raiders non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Raiders now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host The Villages Charter for a 4A District 6 contest on Friday, January 19. South Sumter will battle a Buffalo team coming off a 66-36 non-league win over Trinity Catholic (Ocala, FL). The Buffalo record now stands at 10-9.
The Hurricanes (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Weeki Wachee (Weeki Wachee, FL). The Hornets come into the non-league contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Weeki Wachee was nudged by Fivay (Hudson, FL), 66-63, in a non-league contest.
