Poolville Monarchs (Poolville, TX) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host De Leon Bearcats (De Leon, TX), 51-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Poolville upgrades its record to 22-4 on the season. The Monarchs host Lipan (Lipan, TX) to play the Indians in a 2A Region II District 11 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 16-3.

Next up, the Bearcats play the Lipan Indians (Lipan, TX) in a 2A Region II District 11 bout, on Friday, January 19. De Leon will attempt to upgrade on its 10-12 season record.
