In Wednesday's league outing, the Mount Vernon Patriots (Murray, UT) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Dugway Mustangs (Dugway, UT), by a count of 72-28.

With the victory, Mount Vernon upgrades its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Milford (Milford, UT) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 9-5. Milford lost 61-55 in their recent league bout against Valley (Orderville, UT)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Utah School for the Deaf & Blind Eagles (Ogden, UT) in a 1A Region 21 bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Dugway will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record.
