The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 0-22. Poplarville lost 74-17 in their recent league challenge against Pass Christian (Pass Christian, MS)

Next up, the Gators confront the Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS) in a 5A Region 4 challenge, on Friday, January 19. Gautier will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Golden Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 10-10 record after their 89-45 league win over East Central (Moss Point, MS).
