Alabama High School Basketball - Lanett thwarts Horseshoe Bend

The Lanett Panthers (Lanett, AL) basketball knocked off the host Horseshoe Bend Generals (New Site, AL), 58-47 in Wednesday's league test.
The Panthers (7-11) will now prepare for their test against LaFayette (LaFayette, AL). The Bulldogs go into the 2A Area 6 test with a 15-5 record. In their last test, LaFayette notched a victory over Reeltown (Notasulga, AL), 65-33, in a league test.
The Generals now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they host Reeltown for a 2A Area 6 test on Thursday, January 18. Horseshoe Bend will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 65-33 league loss to LaFayette (LaFayette, AL). The Rebels record now stands at 3-4.
