Laguna Beach Breakers (Laguna Beach, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Huntington Beach Oilers (Huntington Beach, CA), 64-62 in a league bout.

With the victory, Laguna Beach upgrades its record to 12-11 on the campaign. The Breakers host Fountain Valley (Fountain Valley, CA) to play the Barons in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Barons come into the bout with a record of 14-9. Fountain Valley lost 77-63 in their recent league bout against Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, CA)

Next up, the Oilers play the Los Alamitos Griffins (Los Alamitos, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Huntington Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record. The Griffins come into the bout with a 18-4 record after their 86-81 league win over Edison (Huntington Beach, CA).
