In Wednesday's league match, the visiting Laker Lakers basketball team scored a decisive 65-24 triumph over the Vassar Vulcans.

In their next game, the Lakers meet the Cass City Red Hawks (Cass City, MI) in a Greater Thumb - West match, on Friday, January 19. Laker will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Red Hawks enter the match with a 11-0 record after their 60-50 league win over Reese (Reese, MI).

With the defeat, Vassar moves to 1-10 on the campaign. The Vulcans host Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy (Saginaw, MI) to play the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 19. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy won 29-20 in their recent non-league challenge against Heston Academy (St. Helen, MI)
