Rudder Rangers (Bryan, TX) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX), 63-62 in a league bout.

With the win, Rudder upgrades its record to 12-13 on the season. The Rangers travel to Magnolia West (Magnolia, TX) to clash with the Mustangs in a 5A Region III District 21 bout on Friday, January 19. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 3-18. Magnolia West lost 88-47 in their recent league bout against A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX)

Next up, the Bears clash with the Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX) in a 5A Region III District 21 bout, on Friday, January 19. Montgomery will attempt to upgrade on its 9-17 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 20-6 record after their 63-46 league win over College Station (College Station, TX).
