Rancho Cotate Cougars (Rohnert Park, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs (Petaluma, CA), 53-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Rancho Cotate upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Cougars travel to Middletown (Middletown, CA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 13-7. Middletown won 55-47 in their recent league bout against St. Helena (St. Helena, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Elsie Allen Lobos (Santa Rosa, CA) in a North Bay - Redwood bout, on Friday, January 19. St. Vincent de Paul will attempt to upgrade on its 18-2 season record. The Lobos go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 45-34 league win over Healdsburg (Healdsburg, CA).
