The Ray Texans basketball team scored 83 points and held the visiting Victoria West Warriors to 54 in the Texans league triumph on Wednesday.

The Texans now sport a 15-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Miller for a 5A Region IV District 29 contest on Friday, January 19. Ray will meet a Buccaneers team coming off a 64-62 league win over Victoria West (Victoria, TX). The Buccaneers record now stands at 13-9.

The Warriors (10-11) will now prepare for their contest against Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX). The Wildcats enter the 5A Region IV District 29 contest with a 24-4 record. In their last contest, Gregory-Portland triumphed over Victoria East (Victoria, TX), 62-58, in a league contest.
