The St. Paul Swordsmen basketball team (Santa Fe Springs, CA), was overwhelmed 77-51 in Wednesday's league battle with the host St. Anthony Saints (Long Beach, CA)

The Saints now possess a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy for a Del Rey battle on Friday, January 19. St. Anthony will confront a Warriors team coming off a 77-55 league win over Serra (Gardena, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 17-4.

The Swordsmen (8-14) will now prepare for their battle against Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA). The Knights come into the Del Rey battle with a 9-12 record. In their last battle, Bishop Montgomery was overwhelmed by St. Bernard (Playa del Rey, CA), 56-55, in a league battle.
