Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Blacklick Valley overwhelms Ferndale

January 17, 2024: Nanty Glo, PA 15943

Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Blacklick Valley Vikings (Nanty Glo, PA) and the visiting Ferndale Yellow Jackets (Johnstown, PA), saw Blacklick Valley's basketball squad wallop Ferndale by a tally of 66-30.

With the victory, Blacklick Valley improves its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Turkeyfoot Valley Area (Confluence, PA) to confront the Rams in a Western Pennsylvania challenge on Friday, January 19. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 7-8. Turkeyfoot Valley Area lost 36-23 in their recent non-league challenge against Bishop Walsh (Cumberland, MD)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets confront the Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays (Johnstown, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 22. Ferndale will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Blue Jays come into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 49-32 non-league win over Shade (Cairnbrook, PA).
