South Carolina High School Basketball - Ridge Spring-Monetta topped by Calhoun County

January 17, 2024: St. Matthews, SC 29135

The Calhoun County Saints basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans to 45 in the Saints league victory on Wednesday.

The Saints now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North for a A Region 4 contest on Friday, January 19. Calhoun County will battle a Eagles team coming off a 40-38 league loss to Blackville-Hilda (Blackville, SC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-10.

The Trojans (7-11) will now prepare for their contest against Denmark-Olar (Denmark, SC). The Vikings come into the A Region 4 contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Denmark-Olar prevailed over Wagener-Salley (Wagener, SC), 64-8, in a league contest.
