Channel Islands Raiders (Oxnard, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Fillmore Flashes (Fillmore, CA), 40-22 in a league bout.

With the win, Channel Islands upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Raiders host Carpinteria (Carpinteria, CA) to play the Warriors in a Citrus Coast bout on Friday, January 19. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Carpinteria lost 56-51 in their recent league bout against Nordhoff (Ojai, CA)

Next up, the Flashes play the Santa Paula Cardinals (Santa Paula, CA) in a Citrus Coast bout, on Friday, January 19. Fillmore will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 14-8 record after their 54-38 league win over Malibu (Malibu, CA).
