The Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Shepherd Pirates to 20 in the Trojans league triumph on Wednesday.

The Trojans now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Onalaska for a 3A Region III District 23 contest on Friday, January 19. Coldspring-Oakhurst will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 72-24 league loss to Anderson-Shiro (Anderson, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 15-13.

The Pirates (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Trinity (Trinity, TX). The Tigers enter the 3A Region III District 23 contest with a 3-14 record. In their last contest, Trinity was routed by Crockett (Crockett, TX), 61-22, in a league contest.
