The Newark Academy Minutemen basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Columbia Cougars to 36 in the Minutemen league triumph on Wednesday.

The Minutemen now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Passaic Arts & Science Charter for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 18. Newark Academy will battle a team coming off a 66-28 non-league loss to St. Dominic Academy (Jersey City, NJ). The record now stands at 2-6.

The Cougars (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against West Orange (West Orange, NJ). The Mountaineers enter the non-league contest with a 10-5 record.
