North Zulch Bulldogs (North Zulch, TX) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Fayetteville Lions (Fayetteville, TX), 50-30 in a league bout.

With the win, North Zulch upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Bulldogs host Dime Box (Dime Box, TX) to play the Longhorns in a 1A Region IV District 29 bout on Friday, January 19. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 6-13. Dime Box lost 38-31 in their recent league bout against Richards (Richards, TX)

Next up, the Lions play the Buckholts Badgers (Buckholts, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 29 bout, on Friday, January 19. Fayetteville will attempt to upgrade on its 8-16 season record. The Badgers go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 58-31 league loss to Round Top-Carmine (Carmine, TX).
