Kennedale Wildcats (Kennedale, TX) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ferris Yellowjackets (Ferris, TX), 69-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Kennedale upgrades its record to 13-15 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Venus (Venus, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Region II District 10 bout on Friday, January 19. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-19. Venus lost 59-26 in their recent league bout against Godley (Godley, TX)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Alvarado Indians (Alvarado, TX) in a 4A Region II District 10 bout, on Friday, January 19. Ferris will attempt to upgrade on its 11-15 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 14-14 record after their 53-29 league win over Life Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX).
