With the victory, Perquimans improves its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Martin County (Williamston, NC) to confront the Knights in a 1A Four Rivers challenge on Friday, January 19. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 3-10. Martin County lost 41-40 in their recent non-league challenge against New Bern (New Bern, NC)

Next up, the Red Barons confront the Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins (Elizabeth City, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 19. Gates County will attempt to improve on its 11-3 season record. The Griffins come into the challenge with a 3-11 record after their 46-2 non-league loss to Currituck County (Barco, NC).
