The Hodgdon Hawks (Hodgdon, ME) basketball nipped the host Houlton Shiretowners (Houlton, ME), 31-28 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Hawks (12-1) will now prepare for their test against East Grand (Dansforth, ME). The Vikings go into the non-league test with a 0-7 record.
The Shiretowners now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they host Foxcroft Academy for a B North test on Saturday, January 20. Houlton will encounter a Ponies squad coming off a 81-36 league loss to Caribou (Caribou, ME). The Ponies record now stands at 1-10.
