The Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA) basketball nipped the host Murray County Indians (Chatsworth, GA), 40-39 in Wednesday's league test.
The Blue Devils (15-4) will now prepare for their test against Haralson County (Tallapoosa, GA). The Rebels go into the AA Region 7 test with a 3-13 record. In their last test, Haralson County was tipped by North Murray (Chatsworth, GA), 48-38, in a league test.
The Indians now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Gordon Central for a AA Region 7 test on Friday, January 19. Murray County will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 72-30 league loss to Rockmart (Rockmart, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-14.
